Redeem
Lori Parkerson left a music career having worked in the programming dept of XM radio with her sight set on opening a retail clothing store in the DC area. She opened Redeem looking to bring her dark, rocker aesthetic to what is arguably one of the most conservative cities in the country. Having grown up in DC, Lori has demonstrated an instinct and awareness of the cultural depth of the local market as evidenced by Redeem’s 3rd successful year in business (in this difficult economy).
In our 1st video, she discusses the historic neighborhood surrounding Redeem and gives us a tour of the menswear side of her store. We also applaud the variety of great vintage furniture and other curiosities that furnish her shop. Apparently, there is great vintage shopping in DC…we managed to borrow Lori’s keen eye as we visit a kooky little resale shop down the street in the 2nd video.
