Forty Five Ten
After visiting V.O.D., we had our sights set on Forty Five Ten…a store that is on every designer’s wish list. We hopped into our SUV (at this point, we were 2,300 miles into our journey) and drove across town.
We were greeted by Forty Five Ten’s manager, who preferred not to be videotaped 
and Alli Davis, a sales associate. Even though the store owners, Brian and Shelly were out of town, we received a thorough and gracious tour of the space. The store reminded us a bit of Barney’s with the forward and sophisticated designers they carry including Margiela, Dries, and Viktor & Rolf, as well as equally compelling yet lesser known talents such as Matthew Ames. After our interview, we were invited to their in-store café where we chatted about everything from high-end fashion to beach weddings while sipping on the best espresso in town.
