Cielo, San Francisco
After the long 10 hour drive on the Big Sur, we finally arrived in San Francisco. On our first stop, we visited Cielo. The store has been landmarked of a super high end roster of designers since 1993, as Bessie told us. They carry established designers such as Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, to newcomers such as Vena Cava. Right next door to Cielo is their second store called Blu, where we caught up with the owners who were approachable and easy going and we had a nice, long discussion about everything from home gardening to the economic turmoil in fashion and elsewhere.
Their selections for the stores has proven to sustain these current times with an army of loyal customers and celebrities. Of course we had to find out who their number one celebrity customer was, and it happened to be Michelle Pfeiffer. And we LOVE Michelle!
We would like to thank Mehri for the dried up lavender from her garden. It made our SUV smell great all the way back to New York.
